ENEA - Ente per le Nuove tecnologie, l'Energia e l'Ambiente
ENEA, the Italian authority for new technologies, energy and the environment is a public scientific research organization for technological development with wide experience, recognized internationally, in the planning of advanced research projects and in the implementation of complex projects. Much of the technology developed by ENEA derives from experience accumulated over many years working in advanced sectors such as nuclear fission and fusion. ENEA acts as the Technical Agency for several Italian Ministries, Regions, Provinces and Municipalities, providing scientific and technological aid in the solution of particularly complex, urgent or serious problems, for research into and drafting of regulations, for participating in initiatives and programmes with the European Union and international organizations such as the UN and OECD. DAUE - Recepimento in Italia delle Direttive Ambientali

The DAUE (Direttive Ambientali dell'Unione Europea -
Environmental Directives of the European Union) is one of the files in the
information system of the Istituto per la Documentazione Giuridica of the
Italian National Research Council in Italy. It provides information about the
state of implementation of the environmental Directives of the European Union
within Italian domestic legislation with particular reference to air and water
pollution, waste, noise and hazardous substances. There are more than 2,000
documents and a search can be made either directly or it may be guided (Wais
language) . The home page sets out the structure of each documentary unit to be
found in this very useful although still incomplete file and provides examples
in order to assist the user in navigating the documentation.

Diritto Italia
Diritto Italia (Italian Law) is a databank maintained
by the Istituto per la Documentazione Giuridica of the Italian National Research
Council. Its objective is to identify references to legal and administrative
data in Italian Web sites. Each documentary unit contains information about the
body producing the information, the type of body it is, the subjectmatter
(legislation, case law or legal authority or other publications), the
competence of the body concerned, the type of information (full text or
abstract), the search format, the search engine, access and any relevant notes.

Italian Environmental Jurisprudence
BIGA - BIbliografia Giuridica dell'Ambiente

The BIGA database is an environmental law bibliography
produced by the Istituto per la Documentazione Giuridica of the Italian National
Research Council. It is a bibliography of books and journal articles on
environmental law in Italy and currently stores almost 6,000 documentary units
dating from 1975. Each documentary unit is in Italian and contains the
bibliographical details of the source and an abstract of the document with its
relevant classifcation number from a special environmental classification table
developed for the database. References to Italian, Community and foregn
legislation and case law are provided and several examples are provided in order
to aid the user in retrieval.
