A Synthesis for Legal Information
L'analisi degli atti del Convegno può essere condotta, secondo l'A., sulla base di quattro chiavi di lettura che corrispondono ad alcuni dei principali interrogativi attualmente sollevati dal tema discusso: a) l'impatto della telematica sull'assetto sociale e culturale, con riferimento ai problemi sollevati dal rapporto fra le scienze, alla nuova organizzazione del lavoro, alle forme di "democrazia elettronica", agli squilibri fra paesi sviluppati e non sviluppati anche per quanto riguarda i flussi di informazione; b) tecnologia e stampa d'opinione, con riferimenti al ruolo della stampa tradizionale e della professione di giornalista; c) telecomunicazione e nuovi mass media, per quanto concerne gli aspetti più propriamente tecnici; d) ricerca e sviluppo, sottolineando l'esigenza che soggetti pubblici si facciano carico di sviluppare la ricerca nel settore per affrontare adeguatamente i problemi sollevati dalla crescente complessità sociale.
The Institute for Legal Documentation (Istituto per la documentazione giuridica) of the Italian National Research Council since 1970 manages an electronic file of bibliographical data of interest to lawyers and taken from about two hundred Italian periodical. The file, called «Jurisprudence and Legal Debate», can be consulted using automatic retrieval systems by means of terminals linked to the electronic documentation centre of the Court of Cassation and those linked to the centre for automatic documentation of the Chamber of Deputies. Since 1980 the Institute also publishes printed bibliographies containing the data taken from the electronic file relating to selected branches of law. The article describes the various phases of work carried out by the documentalist for the compiling of printed bibliography in his particular subject-matter: by using the research channels relevant documents are selected in the electronic file and these are then printed in order of subject-matter with a series of indices designed to facilitate in the consultation of the bibliographies.
