ITTIG has been carrying out research projects over many years for the simplification of public administration dealing with the design of public information systems that are both easily accessible and provide open data relevant to specific categories of citizens. In particular, it has developed technologies to help overcome the general chaos that reigns throughout the legislative and normative systems.
The Institute strives at the improvement of the quality of legal texts and is a benchmark for this research not only in Italy but also on an international level. Over the last decade the Institute’s researchers have applied the know-how accrued in the treatment of legislative texts, the drafting of administrative texts by introducing rules, standards and digital systems that are presently being diffused throughout the Italian public administration.
