to the city centre and taxis are available.
Pisa

is 80 km away and Florence can be easily reached by train and bus. It
is served by several budget airlines.
Transport
in Florence
The
hotels are all near to the no.7 bus route, starting on the central
square of Fiesole and going down to Florence central railway station
(final stop). From Fiesole where the bus no.7 starts, it is 5 stops
down to San Domenico (5 minutes). From the bus stop in San Domenico
it is a 5 minute walk down the Via dei Roccettini, to get to the
conference venue, the Badia Fiesolana. From San Domenico it takes
about 20 minutes by bus to get to the centre of Florence. See the

Accomodation
Participants
must book and arrange payment for their own accommodation direct with
their chosen hotel. There is no official conference hotel. A selected
number of hotels are situated in the down town and others in San
Domenico close to the conference venue. For all information on the
hotels and a map of the area, please consult the Hotel Information
Sheet.
November is not a
high season in and
around Florence however participants are recommended to book their
accommodation at the earliest opportunity as availability cannot be
guaranteed.
